Victorian Festival Week

About

The 'Victorian Festival Week' is a volunteer run event, held at the end of July each year. The festival includes various events aimed at raising funds for local causes and the railway. Volunteers of all ages come from locations across the UK to take part in the event, and for many families the festival is their Summer Holiday!

In the months leading up to the festival, events are planned and developed by volunteers all over the UK. An elected committee meets regularly in Tywyn to make the arrangements needed in order for the festival to become a reality.

Local residents who help with the festival spend a lot of time working within the community to get the whole town involved in the festival. There is always a fantastic response from local businesses, many of whom provide prizes or sponsorship for the various competitons and events held during the week.
